Naagaih kalpita bhooshanaam thrinayanaam gunjaagunaalankruthaam

Syaamaam paasavaraankusaabhayavaraam dorbhiryuthaam baalikaam |

Piithaam pallavavaasiniim sikhisikhaachoodaavathamsojvalaam

Dhyaayaamyanvahamruksha simhanivahaih piithasthithaam sundarim ||

 

 
(I always meditate the beautiful goddess whose is decked with snakes, who has three eyes, whose breast is decorated with the garland of gunja seeds, who is dark in complexion, who holds a noose and a goad in two of her hands and shows the gesture of boon (Vara) and protection (Abhaya) with two other hands, who is in the form of a young maiden, who is amidst yellow waves, who has over her head feathers of peacock and who resides in a pedestal to be carried by bears and lions.)
